The global warming activist have some explaining (or apologizing) to do. Not so many years ago, particularly after Hurricane Katrina, they were predicting that global warming would cause more hurricanes to strike the United States and that they would have increasing ferocity associated with them. Lies! Nothing but lies!
It seems like whenever someone checks the facts to see how well their scare tactics of doom and gloom hold up, the evidence points in the opposite direction.
The chart below shows the number of hurricane strikes on the U.S. mainland over the past 160 years as well as the number of these hurricanes that were categorized as “major” (above intensity 4). Clearly, there is absolutely no correlation between atmospheric CO2 levels and hurricane strikes.
